Our pharmacy internship provides opportunity to learn how all areas of hospital pharmacy function through hands-on experience in a facility that treats patients with complex clinical needs with a tight-knit pharmacy group. We pay close attention to ensuring that our expectations are set up in a way that balances academic requirements with the internship. Our interns provide crucial support for our operations and are highly valued members of our team!Comments from Current Interns“I was someone who did not come with a healthcare background, so I was nervous that my lack of knowledge would make this internship difficult. However, that was quite the opposite. Since we do have a smaller hospital pharmacy staff, I do believe this is to our advantage as the educational opportunities are endless. Going in with an open mindset and an eagerness to learn will only help you in your pharmacy career!” – Halle, PharmD Class of 2026“The AHH understands that pharmacy school is your top priority and always makes an effort to work around finals week as well as major school events. One weekend a month is very manageable throughout pharmacy school, and I love the ability to continue working throughout P4 year!” – Abby, PharmD Class of 2025“My favorite part about this internship are the co-workers. Everyone is very welcoming and interested into getting to know each other. We do have a smaller staff compared to other hospital pharmacies in the area, but that just allows us to really connect with each other so much easier.” – Halle, PharmD Class of 2026Position Summary:Responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the pharmaceutical care services for the hospital.
